Nuts and seeds an be loaded in bulk bins of up to 1500 lbs each delivering significant throughput with short pasteurization cycle.
Seeds are loaded into trays that are placed in the racks of the trolleys. Trolleys are automatically loaded into the autoclave for pasteurization. Following pasteurization the trays are emptied into the final packaging.
Seeds can also be pasteurized directly in 20-25kg sacks to avoid any subsequent handling.
Whole herbs and spices are put in cotton bags which are then placed on the racks of trolleys and pushed into the autoclave for pasteurization. The process which does not involve moving parts gently handles the delicate dry pieces. Poly-woven bags may also be used. Subsequently the treated products can be directly placed in a paper sack, or the cotton bags can be opened and the product re-packed.
Spices and botanicals in powder form are pasteurized open in trays or in cotton bags as well.
